The forensic team was also on site with them, carrying out the measurements.

An area, that of the Manzona quarry, which a few years ago had already been the site of a bloody incident. Here, in 2005, the night watchman Salvatore Chianese was found dead, shot in the head. The case was closed without anyone responsible being brought to justice.

BOLOGNA: Policeman killed, note from family members, “Forced to leave the life you loved”

FULVIO ZAPPATORE

“Dearest Sofia, our only daughter and beloved companion, where are you now? After being violently forced to abandon the life that you generously and dispassionately loved”. These are the words that appeared on a note next to flowers, left outside the command of Anzola Emilia by the parents and boyfriend of Sofia Stefani, a 33-year-old killed by a gunshot fired from the service pistol of the former commander Giampiero Gualandi, currently in prison. “Know that the love from which you were born endures and continues to grow even in the unbearable setting of your passing. Yours is an intense but short life, capable of rejoicing, loving, perhaps despising, but not of hating. A life whose absence , for those who have woven it into themselves, is unbridgeable. You will always be with us and we will love you timelessly”, continues the letter.
