MotoGP, Marco Bezzecchi in Aprilia orbit? “It’s too early to talk about it, but staying this year was complicated”

A year ago the Ducati Mooney VR46 team was a great protagonist of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship. Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini they experienced a championship made up of pole positions, victories and important points. After just one year, however, the two drivers are experiencing a new season with few smiles. “Bezz” is finding many difficulties with his GP23, while the latter has landed in Honda HRC but has not yet won even a point in the standings.

In recent weeks Marco Bezzecchi has forcefully entered into issues related to the drivers’ market. His contract expires at the end of 2024, so with a view to next year he is exploring all possible offers. Specifically, Yamaha and especially Aprilia seem to be the most interested in the Rimini rider.

His words on the subject seem to open up several scenarios.I have not regretted the choice to stay, even if it is not easy at the moment. It would be easy to talk later but I don’t regret what I did. On a personal level I think I have grown a lot and I would like to become an official rider. I think it’s everyone’s ambition, but I have to confirm myself as fast and competitive to deserve the call.” (Source: Crash.net).

At this point what could the future be for the class of 1998? “Thinking about other teams? It’s never a one-sided thing but I think it’s a choice you make together, like a marriage. I think it’s a little early to talk about it.”
