The Palermo passed the first act of the playoffs, winning 2-0 against Sampdoria in a Renzo Barbera that recalled the best nights of Serie A. Mignani’s team, led by Diakité, gained the pass for the playoff semifinal where it will meet the third force of the championship, the Venice of Vanoli.
Challenge between two great bombers: Brunori on the one hand (17 goals), Pohjanpalo on the other (22 goals-top scorer). The first leg will be played at Barbera, the return leg will be on Friday at Penzo which will decide the first finalist of the Serie B playoffs.
At the end of the two matches, Venezia will have two results out of three (best placing in the regular season) and the Rosanero are called upon to undertake a mini-company. The winner will challenge one of Cremonese and Catanzaro in the final. Mignani finds Ceccaroni who should take Graves’ place in the three-man line together with Lucioni and Ceccaroni.
