PESARO – Missing Blue Flag for Levante beach, Pia Perricci from the venire Oltre list intervenes in the case.
«Perhaps not everyone knows that there are 33 criteria for awarding the Blue Flag, divided into 4 macro areas: environmental education and information, water quality, environmental management, services and safety.
This means that we are not just talking about the quality of the water or its bathing suitability, but it is a much more complex evaluation system which, for example, also considers, among others, information and environmental education, efficient and sustainable means of transport and roads, easy access even for people with different abilities, management committees designed to ensure the safety of the beaches and prevent accidents also through emergency plans.
This failure to renew the blue flag is the perfect summary that this administration has citizens’ expectations were not met on several fronts, highlighting, if there were still any need, the true nature of an administration that is more attentive to visibility than substance”.
Perricci insists: «Thinking quickly turns to those 700,000 euros spent on the biosphere in the square, without thinking about the other money needed for maintenance and for which, incidentally, we accessed the documents precisely to understand the acquisition dynamics without yet having received a response. This is the emblem of the ideology, and is the right term, “green” of this administration; how many things could be done with this amount, not only in relation to the environment but also, for example, to support young people through scholarships or as an incentive for activities and/or start-ups, thus facilitating entry into the world of work and much more.
But this way of doing politics but above all administration was also allowed by an opposition that was too soft. This case too is emblematic and represents the perfect synthesis of a way of doing politics that we strongly criticize and which, we are convinced, many citizens have now understood well.”
