The conference “Family stories in Tuscany in the 16th-18th centuries is nearing completion in Orbetello, in the abbey palace of the diocese of Pitigliano-Sovana-Orbetello. The centrality of ecclesiastical documentary sources in genealogical research”, an event which takes place on the occasion of the Ecclesiastical Heritage Promotion Days promoted by the National Office for Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage of the CEI. An event that began yesterday in Pitigliano and continued today in Orbetello, organized by the Mab cultural center of the Tuscan diocese, in collaboration with the Diffuse Museum of the Manchanese Community and the Don Pietro Fanciulli Study Center of Porto Santo Stefano. Among the speakers Massimo Cardosa, Angelo Biondi, Gualtiero Della Monaca. The works were introduced by Don Marco Monari, director of the Office for Cultural Heritage of the diocese of Pitigliano-Sovana-Orbetello, and Barbara Adamanti, director of the diocesan historical archives. Various stories of families and generations emerged from the meeting, thus valorising a human and cultural heritage and enriching knowledge of the territory in the extreme south of Tuscany, linked and connected to Italy, Europe and above all the Mediterranean.
