SThere will be 3820 families – for a total of 7946 people – involved in the evacuation plan scheduled for 2 June 2024 which will allow the removal and safety of an unexploded bomb dating back to the Second World War found in a construction site in via Spalato .
The definitive list was issued by the Local Police Command on the recommendation of the COC – Municipal Operations Center following a series of meetings with experts from the Military Engineers, the Prefecture of Foggia and the police forces.
The evacuation operations will affect an area within a radius of 431 meters from the location of the bomb.
To allow the activities to be carried out correctly and ensure a rapid return to one’s homes, the area must be completely evacuated no later than 7.00 in the morning. Therefore residents are asked to leave their homes before the indicated time.
In the next few days, the methods for disconnecting domestic and commercial users and the safety plan with related collection points and reception centers will be made known, as well as the contacts for reporting any problems relating to the evacuation.
