Marsiliana celebrates the strawberry: 50th edition of the Strawberry Festival

The 50th edition of the Strawberry Festival in Marsilianafraction of Manciano, scheduled for the weekend from Friday 17 May to Sunday 26 May, celebrates the symbolic fruit of spring with a program full of events. Food stands will offer typical Maremma dishes, accompanied by renowned local wines. During the evenings, the village will come alive with live music and entertainment shows for all ages. A culinary experience that culminates with strawberries, served with cream or yogurt for a sweet end to every meal. The culmination of the festival will be Sunday 26 May with a spectacular one fireworks show at 11.30pm. Participating in this event is an opportunity to enjoy not only the culinary delights, but also the beauty of the village and the warm welcome of the local community.

Montenero d’Orcia: flavors and traditions at the Lasagna Festival

TO Montenero d’Orciafraction of Castel del Pianothe weekend of May 25th and 26th will be full of tradition with the start of the Lasagna Festival which will end on Sunday 2 June. This festival celebrates homemade lasagna, prepared according to traditional recipes and enriched with a ragù prepared with ingredients from local farms. The food stands, open every evening and on Sundays also for lunch, will offer not only lasagne, but also other culinary specialities, accompanied by Montecucco DOC wines selected by expert winemakers. The party will include live music and, on Sunday 2 June, the traditional “Pintata del Rotolo”, the Palio between the four districts of the country.

Open Cellars: tastings begin throughout the Maremma

A weekend dedicated to wine with Open Cellars 2024the event organized by Wine Tourism Movement. Wineries from all over the Maremma will open their doors for tastings, guided tours, sensory workshops and many other activities. It is a unique opportunity to discover the secrets of wine production and to immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of the region. Wine tourists will be able to take part in guided tours of the vineyards, picnics among the rows, aperitifs at sunset and meetings with local producers.
