Great cinema arrives in Arezzo and does so by train. In these days the Pescaiola station of La Ferroviaria Italiana becomes the set of the new film directed by Gianni Amelio. “For the LFI Group – says the President of LFI, Bernardo Mennini – it is a real pleasure to host the shooting of the new film made by Kavac, a film production company founded by Marco Bellocchio and Francesca Calvelli, in the Arezzo Pescaiola station. The film, with directed by Gianni Amelio, will re-propose the painful years of the First World War with great skill and attention and features Alessandro Borghi, Gabriel Montesi and Federica Rossellini as protagonists”.

“The idea of transforming our facilities into a film set – continues Mennini – immediately fascinated us. Cinema is a sector that represents a very important driving force for the economy and the promotion of the territory. LFI, TFT and the city of Arezzo want to continue to be privileged destinations for the cinema industry, with a role as true protagonists. The commitment put in place, in recent days, by all the bodies involved and by our staff and the availability towards production for the better success of the filming confirms this real interest of ours. Finally, thanks also go to the HRail company and to engineer Di Giacomo for having made the rolling stock available, and with whom I hope to be able to start further important initiatives soon”.
