It’s the year of adulthood. An edition to be experienced, the 18th, for the “old ladies” whose engines will once again roar extraordinarily. Making the passion irresistible. Growing the desire to dive into the roaring twenties. Strictly on two wheels, the ones of yesteryear. The Veteran Car Club Ibleo returns to propose “Historic motorbikes in the Iblean baroque” which this year, in fact, celebrates eighteen years of history. An appointment, therefore, which has now become a real tradition. To move these steeds of decades gone by, there will be, as always, true modern knights who will thus roam the fields of a past that is too evocative to easily forget.
The event is promoted by one of the most operational Sicilian organizations from this point of view, the Veteran, and this year it will be held on Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May. An event for enthusiasts and beyond. An event that continues to attract maximum attention also because it is a slice of past history that returns to circulate on the roads of the province of Ragusa, and beyond. In the foreground, as always, motorcycles with Asi identity certificate. Motorcycles which are not ASI certified or in the process of certification are also admitted and, being in decent and original condition, will be allowed to participate at the sole discretion of the organisation. The itineraries are waiting to be discovered. They will closely concern realities of priceless beauty. Apart from Ragusa, where there will be the meeting and departure place, also Giarratana, Palazzolo Acreide, the ancient city of Ibla and a special visit to the Kamarina museum. Like every year, participation is also expected from outside the province and from outside the region. From Moto Guzzis to Bianchis, from Innocentis to Triumphs, and, again, from Ariels to Nortons, not to mention the BSAs.
The centaurs, in most cases wearing period clothing, will speed through the streets of the baroque Iblean area, making themselves noticed for their exceptional and very particular “mounts”. As always there will be the impeccable support provided by the police. For the Ibleo Veteran Car Club, which among other things obtained recognition from the historic Automotoclub precisely for the last edition of historic motorcycles, precisely to highlight the goodness of the action carried out, the opportunity to highlight, once again once, their organizational skills with a high-impact event that guarantees an exceptional showcase for the territory.
