The TEDx Salon Event “Think, create, inspire” is born. The ideas that (us) change history” to achieve two great objectives: consolidate the local community around the TED project and brand, with all its reference values, and continue the path of reflection on themes and instances born from the two previous ones TED Talks, from 2021 and 2023, which focused above all on the sense of belonging and commitment towards the territory through the promotion of beauty, active citizenship and innovation. The initiative is scheduled for Saturday 25 May at 4.30 pm at Civico 111.
With the help of live testimonies from three Speakers and the viewing of two online speeches from the TED Talks already present on the platform, the TEDxGela community thus wants to further root the proposal of the entire project in the territory, raising awareness especially among the younger ones to active participation and launching new food for thought thanks to the passion and skills of the Speakers: Giorgio Franco, Founder of Badia Lost & Found (cultural services cooperative for the reactivation of the territory); Emilia Pardi, Associate Director of Push, a design laboratory for social innovation; Tony Cirnigliaro, Executive Director of Empeeria, a startup that offers authentic and evocative experiences in Sicily.
The TEDx Gela Salon created by the SEMI Spazi Condivisi association, chaired by Vincenzo Lo Blundo, is supported by the creative agencies Frame Garage by Tiziana Franco, Civico 111 represented by Roberto Collodoro and esolution by Andrea Tandurella.
