Urban Trekking between past and future, on May 25th from 5pm the ICICA association organizes an urban trekking between past and future in the historic center of Nicastro, starting from via Garibaldi 1. The guides in this walk will be Francesco Stella, councilor for urban planning of the city of Lamezia Terme, who will accompany the participants among the places identified for future urban redevelopment by the PNRR and PINquA funds and Teresa Gaetano, art historian and scholar of the territory, who will illustrate anecdotes and curiosities about the places of historical interest in the neighborhood San Teodoro / Santa Lucia / Timpone / Tower in the past.
The route lasting approximately 2 hours is free and will be divided into an itinerant and pleasant walk that from Via Garibaldi will pass through the Timpone area, up to the Piducchiusa park and up to the green area of the Ex-Gymnasium in the Torre district, providing for possibility to visit and learn more about the history and evolution of the urban fabric of the historic districts of the center of Nicastro with the possibility of deepening one’s knowledge of places of interest.
