The bad weather also hit hard in Como and to be precise in the Civiglio district. The images of the area that come from readers are decidedly eloquent and in fact the area is isolated due to a concomitant series of events. On the road between Ponzate and Civiglio an impressive image: a large wall gave way and was stopped – remaining almost suspended – only thanks to the presence of a pole which blocked the fall into the valley. Safety operations are underway, as can be seen from the video below (if you want to report or send photos and videos there is the editorial staff’s whatsapp 335.8366795, our Facebook page and the email [email protected]).
On the road between Civiglio and Como, shortly after the cemetery, the rain and the ground full of water caused some plants to fall to the ground which effectively made the stretch impassable. A passing car was hit, the driver was rescued in code yellow. Emergency services on site. But a complaint comes from a reader: “Those plants were clearly unsafe, I had already reported the risk on April 10th, nothing was done.”
Finally, in via Ghislanzoni – also in Civiglio – the classic red and white tape has already been placed to partially block transit.
In the next few hours the weather does not seem to offer much hope: here is the alert issued today by the Lombard Civil Protection.
