On May 24th the 0-18 library of Cuneo hosts the second Book&Dj of Giovani Wannabe

After the success of the first event last April 12th, on Friday May 24th the Giovani Wannabe project, which since last October has involved around 80 students from secondary schools in Cuneo aged between 16 and 18 with the aim of rethinking Cuneo in new directions under 19, proposes the second Book&Dj. Same place, the 0-18 Library of Cuneo, at number 6 in via Santa Croce, same time, 6.30pm, same format – books, music and aperitif for under 19s -, different authors.

The young people of the Read (reading) path of the project will dialogue with Eloisa Morra, curator of «Elettra», a project by the Effequ publishing house divided into four stories – «L’olivastro» by Marta Zura-Puntaroni, «Parental Bestiary» by Francesca Manfredi , «Scintille» by Francesca Scotti and “Quella è la porta” by Giusi Marchetta – which talk about young people and their relationships using their language – and with the author Francesca Scotti. Scotti, from Milan, has been dividing his time between Italy and Japan since 2011. She graduated from the Conservatory and graduated in Law; among her works are «Ellissi» (Bompiani), «Capacitazione vital» (Bompiani), «Il tempo delle tortoise» (Hacca) and the text of the illustrated book «The enchantment of the dark» (Orecchio Acerbo). The musical selection will be curated by the young people of the Party (music) project. «The first Book&Dj was just as the young people on the project had imagined it: the informal and relaxed atmosphere encouraged discussion with the authors, who adapted perfectly to an under-19 context – says Luisa Pellegrino, tutor for Noau | cultural workshop of the Read and Party routes -. The formula works and could be one of Giovani Wannabe’s legacies to the 0-18 Library.” The meeting is free entry with no booking required.

The Book&Dj on Friday 24 May will be the prelude to a weekend in which the Young Wannabe will be protagonists at the NUoVO sports and cultural center in via Parco della Gioventù in Cuneo with the GW Days: music, art, swap parties, reflections on sustainability and parkour Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May. The complete program is available on the website www.giovaniwannabe.it, the contents of which are edited by the students of the Share path.
