BEACH SOCCER – The Slovaks of Husty, the Romanians of West Deva and the French of Mouilleron. These are the teams that together with Farmaè Viareggio make up group D of the Euro Winners Cup, scheduled from 9 to 16 June in Nazaré (Portugal). This is the result of the draw carried out on Thursday (16 May).
There are no precedents between the Juventus team, the group’s top seed, and its rivals. “We will study them in detail after the championship stage and the Super Cup – explains VBS coach Francesco Corosiniti -. We start with the aim of doing better than 2023. We want to close the group in first place to ensure a slightly easier path, at least in theory, in the direct elimination phase.”
Farmaè Viareggio, which already boasts a Euro Winners Cup won in 2016, was eliminated last year in the round of 16 by Ukrainians Vit (victorious on penalties).
Before the highest continental club competition, Carpita and his teammates will play 2 matches of the Serie A Poule Scudetto (Friday 31 May against Città di Milano and Saturday 1 June against Friuli Venezia Giulia) and the Italian Super Cup against Catania (Sunday 2) , all scheduled at the “Matteo Valenti” beach stadium.
