THE HANDLE OF THE DEAD HORSE AT THE PALACE OF CASERTA SENTENCED. OIPA: «AFTER HIS SACRIFICE THEY MOVED TO ELECTRIC TRACTION»
Unfortunately, the affair has not given any acceleration in the decisions of local administrators and much less of the national legislator
For the death of the horse that was pulling a carriage inside the Royal Palace of Caserta, the former coachman who denied him was sentenced to one year in prison by the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere (Ce). The judge recognized the woman’s responsibility, guilty of having denied the horse the necessary rest and care causing him severe dehydration and heatstroke that led to his death. From what we learn, it also emerged that the animal was not authorized for that type of transport. The facts date back to August 2020.
L’International Organization for Animal Protection (Oipa), which has always carried on a battle against animal tractionexpresses his satisfaction with this sentence and remembers how after the death of Found Goal Pagethat was the name of the poor horse, Lhe Management of the Royal Palace of Caserta abolished the anachronistic servicedemonstrating sensitivity and a sense of modernity and – moving on to golf cart approved electric vehicles – giving an eco-sustainable twist to the management of the splendid Vanvitellian complex.
L’Oipa come back to ask the Administrations that still authorize horse-drawn carriages to follow an example and stop bottles, wheelchairs and tired people forever.
The horse that collapsed on the ground at the Palace is a victim whose sacrifice led to an important turning point, but that Unfortunately, this affair has not given any acceleration in the decisions of local administrators, much less of the national legislator.
