An evening of basketball and charity. The appointment is for today, Friday 17 May, when the gym in via Cavour will host the first Benocci-Gatti Memorial.
Primo Memorila Benocci-Gatti: an evening of sport and awareness
Promoting the initiative is Siderea Basket, a company that provides spaces for seniors to play basketball in both competitive and amateur settings and which recently opened a slot dedicated to women’s basketball.
The tournament organizers explain:
“It will be an opportunity to remember two friends, to meet up with teammates from now three different generations and to raise awareness and information on the delicate topic of congenital adrenal hyperplasia”.
On this occasion, funds will be raised to be dedicated to the AISC
In fact, on the sidelines there will be a banquet of the AISC (Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia Association) which will provide information on the activities carried out and the support provided to patients and families affected by this pathology.
Siderea Basket continues:
“During the evening we will raise funds to donate to this association in the hope of being able to make some ‘baskets’ for them too and to remember, hopefully in the best way, the two friends after whom the evening is named, Giuseppe Benocci And Armido Gatti“.
The event will also be a precious opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the re-foundation of the sports club. The tournament will kick off at 9pm.
