PADUA – In the early hours of today the river Muson dei Sassi it flooded in Camposampiero, in the Padua area, in the Rustega area, due to the failure of an embankment due to heavy rains. Fire brigade teams, with flood river rescuers from the command of Padua, Vicenza, Belluno and Venice evacuated some homes that remained isolated. An amphibious vehicle from the Verona command is also arriving, and personnel and pumping equipment from the Emilia-Romagna commands. The flooding affects the inhabited centers of the municipalities of Asolo And Castelfranco Veneto (Treviso). Further flooding is reported in the municipalities of Quarto d’Altino (Venice), and in those of Treviso Altivole, Casier, Source, Mogliano Veneto. Widespread flooding remains mainly in the provinces of Vicenza and Padua due to the rains of 15 and 16 May.

The weather improves
The forecast indicates mostly no precipitation in the morning, from the central hours some new scattered precipitation is possible, even with showers or local thunderstorms, especially in central-eastern mountain-foothill areas.
