Spal, Magalini shares rise. But many people like Catanzaro’s sporting director

Giuseppe Magalini’s prices are rising, while those of Giorgio Zamuner are decreasing slightly. The question of director of the technical area is at the center of attention at Spal at the moment, with Filippo Fusco who will soon make way for his successor.

It is the general director Corrado Di Taranto who leads the operations, naturally remaining in close contact with the president Joe Tacopina.

The situation is on standby for a reason that can easily be understood: the main track followed by the white and blue club cannot now take off.

Translated: the profile preferred by the Via Copparo club is currently not available because the club with which he is under contract is busy in the playoffs.

In this case the Serie B ones, with excellent chances of passing at least the first round scheduled for tomorrow evening. We are obviously talking about Magalini and Catanzaro, who will host Brescia in the first round of the playoffs.

If the Calabrians left the scene immediately, the chances of hooking the sporting director would increase significantly. Otherwise we would have to wait further, with the risk of being left on the sidelines for another couple of weeks. Or you should change the objective, moving the viewfinder to another profile.

For example Zamuner, who remains on Di Taranto’s notebook and would more than willingly return to work for his Spal.

It must be said, however, that even in the event of Catanzaro’s immediate elimination, the negotiation to bring Magalini to the blue and white would be complicated.

We are in fact talking about an established professional, fresh from two extraordinary seasons at the helm of the Calabrian club and with several successes achieved during his long career.

It is not a given that he will leave Catanzaro, and if he left Calabria there would still be at least a couple of Serie B clubs (and not only) ready to welcome him.

Spal, however, wants to try, with the belief that they have some interesting cards they can play. For example, the possibility of working in a historic and ambitious place closer to home, but above all the presence of a coach like Mimmo Di Carlo, who with Magalini has already won first in Mantua and then in Vicenza.

There are therefore days of waiting, with the first round of the playoffs which could unblock the situation.

Magalini certainly won’t talk to the Catanzaro owners before the end of the promotion play-offs, so if Spal has decided to bet heavily on him, all that remains is to wait.
