There was no lack of turnout and wide public participation in the Conference Room of the Hotel Ottagono in Andria where the conference “Tax reform – news and prospects” took place in which, among others, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Hon. Maurizio Leo, Hon. Mariangela Matera, member of the VI Finance Commission, and the President of the ANVUR Board of Directors and Professor of Tax Law at the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”, Antonio Felice Uricchio.

During the work, the important issues of tax reform were addressed which, among other things, have animated the public debate in recent months. In fact, in short, this aims to simplify the current tax system, to reduce the tax burden on citizens and businesses, to stimulate investments and new hires and to promote a more collaborative relationship, oriented towards dialogue between taxpayers and the ‘Financial administration.

Key aspects of the reform, objectives, obstacles and practical difficulties were addressed by the speakers in order to inform the audience as best as possible, highlighting the importance of a tax reform that has been awaited for years in Italy.

The interventions of the Hon. should be read in this sense. Mariangela Matera, focused on the premises of the reform and the path that led to its approval; of the Hon. Maurizio Leo aimed at the strategic objectives and prospects of the reform and that of Prof. Antonio Felice Uricchio dedicated to the tax reform as a lever for the sustainable development of the country.


The event, organized by the Banca di Andria di Credito Cooperativo and sponsored by the District Notary Council of Trani, the Bar Association of Trani and the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Trani, recorded the institutional greetings of the President of the Credit Institute, Paolo Porziotta, and the FEDERCASSE President, Augusto dell’Erba who recalled how this was a meeting moment in which to discuss the objectives and prospects of the Reform for the well-being of taxpayers.

Also speaking were Antonella Trapanese, President of the Notary District of Trani, Francesco Logrieco, President of the Bar Association of Trani, and Alberto Muciaccia, President of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Trani.
