Trento – Il mayor Franco Ianeselli he signed one new ordinance which, starting from tomorrow May 17th and until the next one June 16th, forces three public places to observe certain provisions. In the time slot from 11pm to 7am, every day of the week, the owners of three premises will not be able to serve or sell alcoholic beverages of any strength to take away. Furthermore, they will have the obligation to employ no less than one control services officer for each public on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The ordinance effectively extends the provisions adopted last April.
Following that provision the Anti-Degradation Committee of the neighborhood reported a limited improvement in the situation in the area Saint Mary Magdalene: residents have in fact reported that the disturbance of public peace ends between midnight and 1 am and therefore earlier than in the past, but they have nevertheless reiterated the need for further measures. The situation was confirmed by local police officers who verified the persistence of a high turnout of people frequenting the Santa Maria Maddalena area after midnight.
It is also remembered that the recent monitoring activity has highlighted in the area of via Santa Maria Maddalena, in particular on the evenings of Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and to a lesser extent on the evenings of Tuesday and Thursday, the increase in sound levels starting from 10pm and until 2am with the peak around midnight, due to the gathering of a large number of people.
Hence the decision to proceed with a new ordinance valid in Via Santa Maria Maddalena, Vicolo Santa Maria Maddalena, Via Ferruccio, Vicolo San Marco (between number 20 and Via Marchetti), Vicolo San Pietro, in order to improve the liveability of the area.
