Double appointment over the weekend to get to know the Novara native. On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May two fascinating and original itineraries will take place to discover Novara, its territory, its extraordinary
Dome. Sunday’s event, in particular, is reserved for children and families.

The first appointment is set for Saturday 18th at 10am for the guided tour of the “Tenuta La Mondina – Riso Buono” in Casalbeltrame and the climb to the Dome of San Gaudenzio, a day to learn about the excellence of the area, from the production of rice to the work brilliant by Alessandro Antonelli.
Tenuta La Mondina is in Casalbeltrame, tells centuries of history and shows the production of rice,
Italian excellence. You will be able to visit the three large courtyards, the ancient stables, an elegant noble wing and large production areas open to the public, for a journey into the history of rice and rural architecture, to discover the many Italian varieties of this precious cereal.
In the afternoon, at 2.30 pm, after a free lunch, it will be possible to have the exciting experience of climbing and visiting the Dome of San Gaudenzio, the maximum expression of the genius of Alessandro Antonelli, with a safety helmet and harness. Accompanied by the story of a guide, participants will retrace the history of this extraordinary masterpiece of nineteenth-century architecture to enjoy exclusive points of view inside the building and on the surrounding panorama up to reach 100 meters high – spire (age minimum 14 years). Duration 2 hours.
Cost: 25 euros per participant, includes guided tour of the “Tenuta La Mondina – Riso Buono”
and climb and visit to the Dome of San Gaudenzio.

The second appointment is scheduled for Sunday 19 May, and is dedicated to the little ones, it is the game visit to the Faraggiana Ferrandi Museum and the climb to the Dome of San Gaudenzio. Children and families can visit the Natural History Museum and take part in the exciting tour for
learn about Antonelli’s masterpiece (minimum age 6 years).
At 11am, at the Museum, young visitors will be able to participate in the game activity “10 clues to a culprit”: among the many animals present in the museum, only one is guilty of a serious crime… Following the indications of the investigation file and the traces left by the suspects, it will not be difficult to solve the case. An original way to discover, while having fun, the curious characteristics of animals and visit the museum. The activity (duration 1 hour) is particularly aimed at accompanied children aged between 6 and 12 years.
In the afternoon, at 2.30 pm, after free lunch, the program includes the climb and guided tour of the Dome of San Gaudenzio. The tour, taking into account the age of the visitors, will allow you to reach 75 meters in height – base of the dome (minimum age 6 years). Duration 1h30 minutes.
Cost: €15 per participant (includes entry to the museum, laboratory visit, entry to the Dome of San Gaudenzio and guided tour).
