TRENT. Mayor Franco Ianeselli has signed a new ordinance which, starting from tomorrow (17 May) and until 16 June, obliges the public places “Kafè Matrix”, “La Scaletta” and “Dejavù” to observe certain provisions. In the time slot from 11pm to 7, on all days of the week, the owners of the three premises will not be able to serve or sell alcoholic beverages of any strength to take away. Furthermore – we read in a note from the Municipality of Trento – on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday they will have the obligation to employ no less than one control services officer.

The ordinance effectively extends the provisions adopted last April. After that measure – the Municipality recalls in a note – the Anti-degradation committee of the neighborhood reported a “limited improvement in the situation in the Santa Maria Maddalena area”. In fact, residents reported that the disturbance of public peace ends between midnight and 1 am and therefore earlier than in the past, but they nevertheless reiterated the need for further measures. The situation was confirmed by local police officers who verified the persistence of a high turnout of people frequenting the Santa Maria Maddalena area after midnight.
