GALLARATE – The fight against waste abandonment in Gallarate intensifies. It happened in near the Mornera bridge, where the local police tracked down and fined the person responsible. Same outcome for a commercial enterprise in the Largo Buffoni areafor which sanctions were immediately triggered after the investigations carried out by the agents.

In recent weeks the local police have intensified controls in the area for combat the phenomenon of waste abandonment. The monitoring by patrols of the most at-risk areas made it possible to trace those responsible. In the first case, that of the Mornera bridge, the officers managed to identify the perpetrator, thanks to the analysis carried out on some traces of waste. The person has been traced – reports the law in a note released by Palazzo Borghi – initially denied any wrongdoing, only to later admit, given the evidence, of having left garbage bags irregularly. One clicked for him administrative fine of 50 euros and had to clean up the area, disposing of waste correctly.

A company fined

The second activity was conducted in the Largo Buffoni area. This time it was a commercial company that dumped the waste. Several bags were consigned illegally, which contained documents attributable to the production activity. The owner was sanctioned for violating the urban police regulationwith the obligation to restore the areas affected by the crime.

The bins of used clothes

Regarding the protection of decorumin recent weeks checks have also been carried out for the regularity of bins for the collection of used clothes. The relevant checks found that the agreements stipulated between the Municipality and the associations who deal with the recovery of clothing items were no longer valid. Inspections were carried out, from which it emerged that the collectors had not been taken away. The values ​​were therefore raised sanctions provided for by the highway code
(173 euros for each unauthorized collector), with the offender being obliged to remove them
(a total of 25 binders). The checks carried out after the notification of the warnings highlighted that the recipients complied with the restoration of the state of the places. Twenty-four clothes bins removed. Only in one case was the removal not carried out, with the consequent report sent to the prefecture for the issuance of the specific ordinance.
