Guenda Goria and Mirko Gancitano said their “yes” in the splendid Cathedral of the Santissimo Salvatore in Mazara del Vallo, today 16 May. Guenda accompanied by her father Amedeo Goria, and preceded by her mother Maria Teresa Ruta who arrived aboard an ape car, walked down the aisle in her wonderful white lace dress while Mirko, visibly moved, waited for her at the altar in a very elegant blue suit. The touching ceremony was celebrated by the Bishop of the diocese Monsignor Angelo Giurdanella together with the deacon Don Francesco Ingrande and Father Salvatore Gabriele.

The joy of the couple was palpable and contagious. Guenda, with her big belly, was radiant. The former gieffina, in fact, is pregnant with their first child who will be born in the summer and will be called Noah, the name means “it will be a gift from God”. The ceremony was attended by many VIPs who came to the city to celebrate the two young spouses, among them: Alex Belli and Federico Fashion Style who are also the wedding witnesses and Delia Duran, Dayane Mello, Nicole Di Mario, Vera Miales, Francesca Brandi, Maria Laura De Vitis, Sara Altobello, Valerio Taglialatela, Soleil Sorge, Maria Monsè, Francesco Chiofalo and many others.

Many onlookers were present in front of the Cathedral, hunting for selfies. Last night, the videomaker from Mazara wanted to dedicate to his future wife a romantic serenade in perfect Sicilian style accompanied by a folklore group that played some typical songs. As already announced in the Rai program “La Volta Buona”, hosted by Caterina Balivo, in total there will be around 300 correspondents. According to some rumours, the wedding celebrations will take place at the Mazarese reception hall “Mahara” located on the Lungomare San Vito.

The small internal square of the location was furnished with lights, carts and Sicilian puppets: the setting for a real folkloristic party. The Serena pastry bar will take care of the desserts, also Sicilian, which, as stated by the groom, will be the highlight of the event. Guenda in an Instagram story, posted a few weeks ago, in which he gave his followers some previews of the wedding, wrote: “What I can say is that it will be special because it is profoundly creative and shared by many artists who will give their contribution, in total freedom. An undoubtedly circus wedding”.

The love story between Guenda and Mirko began in 2021, two years ago the two young people celebrated their “spiritual” wedding on the beach of Santo Domingo, then Mirko’s official marriage proposal, which went live during the Rai program “La volta nuova”. The event also represents a great opportunity to raise awareness of Mazara, given the large presence of famous people who, since yesterday, have started posting images of the city on social media.

We at Prima Pagina wish the newlyweds and future parents Guenda and Mirko a life full of joy, complicity, adventures and true love.
