PAOLA (CS) – The tourist port of San Francesco di Paola will be among the largest in Calabria. Returning from Milan, the day after the presentation of the project financing for the construction of the structural infrastructure, the mayor Giovanni Politano highlights how “awareness has increased of how truly strategic the work can be for the future of the City and the entire district, as well as the Calabria Region, with which we have signed a memorandum of understanding thanks also to the interest of the President Roberto Occhiuto”.
Politano: “the port will bring more work and tourism”
“The dialogue we are carrying out with FS Sisteme Urbani and with other investors makes us understand the opportunity facing our city” – explains Politano. “And I would like to address my fellow citizens, with a message of unity and solidarity in view of the project of our long-awaited tourist port: this is a crucial moment for Paola and I would like to underline the importance of work together to ensure the success of this initiative. As an administrator, I understand the concerns and questions that may arise regarding the tender procedures and the awarding of the work, but precisely by virtue of this we have signed a legality protocol with the Prefecture. All loans exceeding 10 thousand euros, therefore, are analyzed and checked by them. However, I would like to emphasize that this project is not only an investment in infrastructure, but also an opportunity for the progress and development of our community as a whole. For this reason, it is essential that we all unite and row in the same direction. We must focus on the benefits that the marina will bring to our city: the job creation, development of local tourism and increasing investment attractiveness in our region.”
Mayor Giovanni Politano continues: “I therefore invite every citizen to actively support this project, to be part of the dialogue and action that will lead to its realization.
