Bernocchi from Legnano visits TMC, the lesson moves to the company

As in previous years, the fourth classes of the electrical engineering branch of theA. Bernocchi Institute, accompanied by the teachers Prof. Pierangelo Borrelli and Prof. Antonio Calabrese, were hosted byTMC company of Busto Arsizio, leader in the design, production and testing of transformers and medium and low voltage dry reactors, in VPI and cast-resin technology.

The occasion highlighted how thirty years of experience, supported by careful control, can give rise to a product that meets the needs of any customer and establishes itself competitively on the national and international market. In an initial welcoming moment, the company’s activity was illustrated to the students by Human Resources Asia Crespi. The visit then got underway: Eng. Marco Ruggeri and Eng. Massimo Spertini held for the students of the Bernocchi institute a technical lesson on the functioning of transformers and the various types of cooling systems, on their marketing in most countries of the world. This was then followed by a practical demonstration of the testing and certification of the transformers carried out by the technicians in the test room.

«The visit proved itself a valid training opportunity for us students – is the comment of the participants – it allowed us to verify how the knowledge learned in school is essential in the world of work, allowing us to closely observe the production and testing process in all its steps. Getting closer to a reality like that of the TMC, where two of our students completed the company internship, which responds perfectly to the orientation purposes of the PCTOs (Paths for Transversal Skills and Orientation)”, comment the teachers, “since it introduced the students to a possible future working reality, in which to put the knowledge and skills acquired at the desks to the test”.
