Claudio Marchisiothe great midfielder who linked his sporting career above all to Juventus, was a guest of the Asti Rotary Club on Tuesday evening in a convivial evening held in the premises of the Hotel School in via Asinari.

Thirty-eight years of age, thirty-nine goals scored at the highest level, three appearances in the Italian Olympic team and fifteen appearances in the Under 21 national team, the “Principino” – nickname assigned to him for his elegance both in his dress and in his behavior on the pitch – relived his amazing life as a footballer in the Asti evening, interviewed by Paolo Viarengo, which saw him collect – among the many prestigious awards – seven championships, four Italian Cups and a Premium-Liga championship, participating in two World Cups (South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014) and treading the grassy ground of football fields around the world.

But in addition to his past, Marchisio spoke about his present as a journalist and manager, always in the sports sector, also revealing his future plans of a wine entrepreneur in the hills around Turin.

Speaking about the relationship between sport and young people, the champion underlined how football for children has a primarily educational purpose, which unfortunately is often actually thwarted by parents, who are too frequently convinced that their son or daughter is a predestined but misunderstood champion .

After the interview, the many Rotarians present and their guests took turns asking a long series of questions to which Marchisio responded meticulously, also revealing his skills as an excellent entertainer: “You made me feel like I was at Domenica Sportiva” concluded the footballer smiling.

At the end the president of Rotary, Maurizio Mela, gave the guest some bottles of local wine and the volume on the more than seventy-year history of the Asti Rotary.
