Moments of tension in the Zen 2 neighborhood of Palermo. A man, aged around 60, allegedly tried to molest a 5-year-old girl, thus sparking the anger of the residents who chased him with clubs and bars to lynch him. The man, as he also points out “Palermo Today”, he would still have managed to take refuge in an apartment. The intervention of the police, including police and carabinieri in riot gear, allowed the man to be escorted out of the house and taken to the police station.

After the attempted harassment, it emerged, the 60-year-old was lucky enough to find shelter in an apartment in via Agesia di Siracusa, in the Palermo district, but many still arrived under the house, threatening him and destroying his car. Apparently the daughter of the alleged molester also sided with the angry crowd.
