Organ donation, a thousand students in the field

Over a thousand students from 14 schools from all over Tuscia. These are the numbers of the 2024 edition of the “Donate to donate” competition, promoted by the voluntary Donation and health education table of the Viterbo Local Health Authority, which will take place on Thursday 23 May, at 5.30 pm, at the oratory theater of the parish of the saints Valentino and Ilario in Viterbo.

With them also the provincial Avis president, Luigi Ottavio Mechelli; the contact person for the Admo Viterbo operational headquarters, Paola Massarelli; the provincial contact person for the Kidney Patients Association, Patrizia Galeotti; the director of the Belcolle immunotransfusion service, Silvia Da Ros; the person responsible for coordinating organ and tissue donations (Dot) of the Viterbo Local Health Authority, Teresa Riccini; the coordinator for the Viterbo Local Health Authority of the Donations and health education table, Stefania Stefani.

Promote the message of organ donation

“The award – introduced the representatives of the volunteering table – has grown in an exciting way over the years, with a notable increase in membership and with participation, from a creative point of view, truly surprising. The projects, works and communication tools presented fully interpret the message linked to the donation”.

Bianconi observed that “the synergy that has been created with the schools of Tuscia, with the school directors, the teachers, the children, their parents gives us hope, because we are creating a ‘young’ path that we intend to support and develop over time, so that the issues associated with donation are increasingly felt and experienced throughout our province”.
