Wednesday May 15th took place in the main hall of the Higher Institute “Francesco Giordani” the presentation of the book in Caserta “The School: between illusion and reality” by the author Giuseppe Santabarbara.

The event saw the participation of the esteemed author and the school director Antonella Serpicoof the Councilor for Culture Enzo Battara and of Lucia Monaco, delegate of the Pact for Reading and President of Fidapa. The works were moderated by Raffaella Feola, vice president of Fidapa, with the precious contribution of the teachers Maria Grazia Madonna And Raffaele De Stefanocoordinators of the initiative.

During the presentation, Principal Serpico underlined the importance of a school capable of promoting the intellectual and social growth of young people, with an open mind that knows how to appreciate and understand the value of other people’s thoughts, without stereotypes or prejudices.

The morning was dedicated to a dialogue between the author and the students of classes 1AIA, 1ASA, 2ASA, 3ASA, 3BSA, 4ASA, offering them various opportunities to experience school in an engaging way. The event focused on the massive changes that the school has experienced in recent years, with particular attention to the socio-educational problems of the young generations, with the aim of finding solutions through a balanced and harmonious education that enhances personal identity, protagonism and social commitment.

The initiative was an important opportunity for reflection and discussion on the reality of the school, involving both students and institutional actors, in order to promote an increasingly stimulating and inclusive educational environment.
