A serious accident in the province of Arezzo has provoked very extensive damage to one little girl already disabled from birth: in recent days the ruling of the Court of Arezzo who established a millionaire compensation for the minor in the car which was literally hit by the SUV which was traveling against traffic at the time.
The man responsible for the serious episode had driven his SUV under the influence of drugs, as per the sentence, and in March 2014 while returning home he had completely invaded the oncoming lane, violently hitting a car in which there were three adults and a 7-year-old girl, who at the time was already disabled for neurological problems since his birth. After criminal trial for serious personal injury and driving under the influence of narcotic substances (cocaine and opiates), in recent days the civil sentence has also arrived for the compensation of all the damages that the insurance will now have to pay to the girl: one million and 250 thousand euros, of which 300 thousand already paid and the remaining 950 thousand to be paid, plus interest and legal costs.
The facts date back to June 28, 2014 when around lunchtime the man, who later emerged positive drug testas mentioned, among the Arezzo hamlets of Indicator and Pieve a Maianoin full curve he had completely invaded the oncoming lane from which the car came with the girl, her brother and her parents on board. But over time she had improved and the latest medical tests had certified these improvements over the years thanks to the care received. In short, until that dramatic morning, things seemed to be going well despite the past suffering and the many sacrifices made by her and her family. But that violent impact had suddenly gotten worse things, and due to the injuries sustained, following the accident, the girl had begun to show further motor, cognitive and psychological problems.
Judge Federico Pani of the Court of Arezzo, in the specific trial for damages to the disabled minor, ordered three medical-legal reports on the girl, now 17 years oldto quantify the total damage to be compensated, because the dynamics of the accident had already been extensively analyzed in the criminal trial, and the facts were therefore clear and certified by the various reports of the police and medical workers who intervened at the site of the terrible accident. The insurance was also sentenced to around 60 thousand euros of legal costs, litigation and judgment. Yet another proof that when you are driving you must always be clear-headed and cautious.
