Everyone is ready for the Cooking Quiz Final – the national educational competition of hotel institutes! Viterbo schools competing for the title!

The eighth edition of the Cooking Quiz is coming to an end, the National Educational Competition involving the fourth grades of Italian hotel schools, created to combine training and entertainment and which will end with the National Final scheduled for Wednesday 22 May at 10.30 am Olympic Theater in Rome.
35,000 students were involved in the educational competition which took place, for the second year, in two versions: the “Cooking Quiz in presence” with lessons at the schools involved held by Peaktime trainers, by experts from ALMA, the International School of Italian Cuisine, and by the Chefs of FIC (Italian Chefs Federation) and the “digital Cooking Quiz” characterized by digital connections with the Schools, who were able to play and watch the prestigious lessons remotely.

During the road show, important notions and information were transferred to the children with the aim of then verifying their level of learning through gamification. After an initial part of training strictly linked to the children’s study subjects, proposed by the experts of the Scientific Committee of the Cooking Quiz and an “ethical” part presented by the trainers Alvin Crescini and Daniela Rinaldi with insights and focus on issues such as healthy and correct nutrition, valorisation of the food and wine excellences of the area, fight against food waste and correct methods of separate waste collection, in the second phase, the verification phase, the students challenged themselves within of their school precisely to decree the best classes that will fly to Rome in view of the final event.

The tour reached the students of the institutes in the province of Viterbo with excellent results. The students of the 4T Food and Wine class of the IIS “Alessandro Farnese” of Montalto di Castro and of the 4C Food and Wine and 4A Pastry classes of the IIS “Alessandro Farnese” of Caprarola will “compete” in Rome with the finalist classes coming from all over Italy to decide the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS OF THE COOKING QUIZ 2024 for the “WINE AND FOOD” – “SALES ROOM” and “WHITE ART” addresses.

At the final event at the Teatro Olimpico the chefs of the NIC (National Italiana Cuochi) accompanied by the FIC President (Italian Chefs Federation) Rocco Pozzulo. Furthermore, this year’s ALMA guest will wink at the young audience in the audience, with the presence of the FEA – Freestyle Elite Agency, a collective that includes the best active national rap freestylers, who will perform in a show dedicated to competition themes.

Also in this edition, a space of fundamental importance was reserved for the correct recycling of packaging mainly used in the kitchen thanks to the collaboration of the National Consortia for the collection, recycling and recovery of BIOREPACK, CIAL, COMIECO, COREPLA, COREVE and RICREA packaging. The National Consortia participating in the Cooking Quiz guarantee the start of packaging recycling, promoting significant savings in material and energy and positioning our country as a virtuous example on a global level.

Cooking Quiz is created by PLAN Edizioni and is directed and coordinated by PEAKTIME. The educational section was developed by the Scientific Committee composed of: Italian Chefs Federation FIC, ALMA, the International School of Italian Cuisine, by AIS Italian Sommelier Association. The project is supported and supported by Re.Na.IA the National Network of Hotel Institutes and by AEHT.
The eighth edition of the Cooking Quiz enjoys the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry. The final event is sponsored by the “Italian National Commission for UNESCO”.
