PESCARA. Four blocks of hashish hidden in the electrical system were found and seized by the local police during a check carried out in a popular complex where a theft of electricity had been reported.
The Giona unit of the local police force intervened, engaged in a series of checks to repress the phenomenon of illegal occupations and in particular, theft of electricity, as in the case in question. The 205 grams of hashish, divided into four blocks, had been hidden in a junction box of the electrical system in the condominium area of an Ater residential complex in the southern area of the city.
Further investigations are underway into the illicit activities which are linked to the discovery and reporting of the various offenses which characterize the phenomenon of illegal occupations.
The accommodation that was the subject of the report was seized. From the first investigations it emerged, in fact, that the masonry with which the entrance had previously been closed was damaged: that is, the wall was knocked down to allow the unauthorized entry of the occupants, whose identities are, at present, at the center of the investigations. An illegal electricity supply system was discovered in the apartment, connected directly to the condominium line.
The operation concluded today is part of the anti-illegal activities of the local police, in the wake of the legality campaign conducted by the mayor Carlo Masci, also in public residential housing.
