ANCONA – “Another car park to the detriment of buses and preferential lanes. This administration also does not seem interested in relaunching the public service.” This is what he states Luca Polenta, regional secretary Filt Cgil Marche, regarding the choice of the municipality of Ancona, to merge the bus stops in Piazza Kennedì with that in via XXIX September «creating – he is sure – inevitable traffic problems. “It is an unreasonable choice – insists Polenta – which follows the decision, again by the municipality of Ancona, to transform the maritime station into a car park with around 120 parking spaces”.
These are interventions, among other things, “carried out without involving the union and the workers. We, however, are against these choices because the preferential lanes should instead be increased and, perhaps, we should think about opening the maritime station which would be an excellent way to bring citizens to the center of Ancona without using private transport”. All these decisions “rather increase traffic and environmental pollution”. In short, “we’re not there yet. For Filt Cgil, we need to change course immediately.”
