BUSTO ARSIZIO – Fashion and comedy to support the project “suspended therapy” by Ananke Family, the association that supports families struggling with eating disorders. Appointment scheduled for Sunday 26 May at 9pm in the Sala Pro Busto in via Cesare Battisti 12c with the show “Fashion Comedy Show”an evening dedicated to fun, but not only that, given that all proceeds will be donated to the association Ananke Family.
The initiative
The initiative is supported by the social inclusion department of Paola Reguzzoniwhich has long been at the forefront of the problem of eating disorders, so much so that after the summer it will open the listening center dedicated to the topic in the spaces made available by the municipality in via Tito Speri. Ananke Family is a reality founded by a group of parents in synergy with the Villa Miralago therapeutic community and with the Ananke Foundation with the aim of supporting young people and families struggling with eating disorders. The proceeds of the evening will be donated to payment for psychotherapy sessions to young people affected by DCA and their families; an initiative that is added to the “suspended therapy” project which has already made it possible to donate 222 sessions to families in difficulty.
The show
Comedians will participate in the show Ale Petrone, Diddi Mazzilli, Eddy Mirabella And Francesco Migliazzabut also the guest star Alessia Crespigraduated in Fashion Design at NABA in Milan, creator of the FashionLea brand which will provide the clothes for the show, «tailor-made clothes to make this experience possible even to people who do not have the standard canons of fashion». In one part of the show the models, including two girls who have emerged from eating disorders, they will parade in lilac dresses in honor of Ananke. Entrance, with reservations required while places last, at number 3386221029, is at minimum bid (10 euros). The evening will end with refreshments offered by the association.
The objectives
«Unfortunately our girls, and boys, don’t have time to wait on a hospital waiting list – he explains Federica Bottini, advisor of Ananke Family – sometimes parents cannot afford the costs of treatment and have to suspend the treatment, with the risk of taking steps backwards. To date, thanks to crowdfunding and the initiatives already carried out, we have donated 222 suspended therapies, and we have another 200 to donate.” And councilor Paola Reguzzoni raises the issue the appeal to national politics to commit on this front: «We in our small way do what we can, but someone else higher up should also do their job and, for example, make social networks responsible, where kids find everything, even tutorials for throwing up food. It’s a difficult battle. The numbers, in terms of health outcomes, are important but the families are ashamed and therefore do not reveal themselves and they do not become public opinion that could impact the political agenda. Why It’s not tantrums, it’s an illness of which there is no need to be ashamed.”
