Bartoccini Fortinfissi Perugia has officially signed another new face for the women’s A1 series. The Romanian spiker gets to wear the black shirt Adelina Ungureanu who says: «I chose Perugia because I immediately felt great trust from the club that looked for me. I felt very appreciated and then I made the decision to come here. Clearly my transfer situation was different than other players due to the injury I suffered. However, I am already working as hard as I can to recover as best I can and be ready for next season. In fact, I have already arrived in Perugia to be able to work directly with the team’s staff and I must say that I immediately found great attention towards me and above all great professionalism. I think this is something very important. The A1 series is obviously a very difficult championship. We always set out to do our best, I will use all my experience and technical skills to contribute to safety. I have already spoken with coach Andrea Giovi and in general I have had the pleasure of meeting quite a few people. As I repeat, I perceive a serious and professional environment. This is also why I am happy with the choice made.” The player born in 2000, after her experiences in her homeland with Universitatea Timisoara, Dinamo Bucharest and Csm Bucharest, landed in the beautiful country in 2019, when she was signed by Cuneo. She stayed here for two seasons and then moved to Busto Arsizio. She remained in Lombardy for only one year: in the 2022-2023 season she was in fact purchased by Pinerolo, where she also remained for the following year. Ungureanu’s growth path was halted at the end of January 2024 due to a knee injury, but she is already ready to restart with a new Italian challenge which this time takes the name of Perugia.
