Around two million euros available to municipalities who are part of the Gal Sicilia Centro Sud for the realization of works within their territories. The ranking has been published. The municipalities that will benefit from it are: Camastra, Castrofilippo, Comitini, Favara, Grotte, Licata, Naro, Palma di Montechiaro, Racalmuto, Ravanusa, who, through their technical offices, presented the projects responding to the tender relating to the establishment of a Network of Multimedia Knowledge Ateliers, which had been published in recent months.
“The Multimedia Ateliers of Knowledge are – explains the Gal – of the Multimedia Museum Centers for the valorisation of the material and intangible rural cultural heritage of the Gal territory, of typical local products and of human resources. These centers will be aimed at the dissemination and promotion of municipal territorial excellences, rural itineraries and rural tangible and intangible cultural heritage and together they will constitute the “Network of Multimedia Ateliers of Knowledge of the Central and Southern Sicily Territory”.
“I can safely say – he declares Maria Grazia Brandara, mayor of Naro and president of the Gal – that those presented are projects of great value and impact for our communities. Projects that will certainly bring a significant increase in cultural, economic and social terms for the municipalities that have obtained funding. Since my inauguration as president – he adds – with the leaders of the Gal: the Board of Directors, the director, the architect Olindo Terrana, the planning office has traced a well-defined path to help the economy of this Agrigento area, from companies that operate in the private sector up to the public sector as in this case whose beneficiaries are directly the municipalities that are part of it. A mission which we have fulfilled by financing dozens and dozens of projects. This is a further very important goal achieved for the municipalities of the Gal Scm. Soon the municipal administrations – concludes Maria Grazia Brandara – will be able to start the construction works. Finally, applause goes directly to the Gal for the preliminary investigation and to the designers and technical offices of the municipalities who obtained the funding for the great work they did, demonstrating passion and professionalism”.
