There are 184 new enrollments in the Savona nursery schools for the 2024-2-25 school year. A number that also includes 27 small non-residents in the city, a clear increase compared to last year, when there were 147 and, if you like, also a bit against the trend for what is the capital city of the “oldest province in Italy ” and a declining population.
At the moment, however, there are 66 children who remain excluded from city nurseries and on the waiting list, 5 among the small ones, 23 among the middle ones and 38 among the older ones. The Municipality plans to meet the request with around fifty available places which will become available shortly, 20 in the new spring section at Carando (for older children) and 30 at the nursery in via Brilla Stella Marina (formerly Bollicine), currently waiting for Alisa’s authorization to open. About fifteen children would remain on the waiting list for whom a few places could perhaps be freed up as the rankings progress.
“This year we have had a clear increase in new registrations and it is interesting – explains the vice mayor Elisa Di Padova – we have reached 184 applications of which 157 from residents and 27 non-residents, 40 more than last year. This This year, among the new students there are many children in the adult age group who will be able to find a place in the spring section of the Carando schools which have registrations open until July. Furthermore, the work on the nursery school in Via Brilla has been completed , where 30 places are available and for which we are awaiting authorization from Alisa to whom we will send the documentation within the week”.
