Meeting at Polo Mattioli organized by ReS and the Archdiocese of Sienaa

SIENA. Res (Reformism and Solidarity) will be together with the Archdiocese of Siena on Friday 17 May 2024 at 5.00 pm in the “Cardini” room of the University of Siena, which sponsored the initiative, in the Department of Political and International Sciences, at the garrison Mattioli in via A. Mattioli in Siena. Theme of the meeting: ‘The relevance of the thought of San Bernardino of Siena’.

The event aims to retrace the life of the Saint with particular reference to the religious, social and political message that he promoted and spread in his sermons. Virtuous reformist, zealous preacher and peacemaker, he leaves us an extraordinary message of invitation to righteousness.

The initial greetings were entrusted to Alessandro Conforti for ReS Toscana together with Giovanni Minnucci for the Department of Political and International Sciences. Following the introduction by Pier Paolo Baretta, national president of Res and the report by Giacomo Todeschini, professor of Medieval History. A report that will have as its theme “The economic and social thought of San Bernardino”. The conclusions were entrusted to Cardinal Augusto Paolo Lojudice.
