Tonight at 8.30pm on the pitch in Taranto for the first national round
The Vicenza will take to the field tonight at 8.30pm on the Taranto pitch, the first leg of the match in 180′ (the return leg on Saturday 18th at Menti). “Now we’re aiming for B. I don’t think I said anything strange because everyone who participates thinks the same thing otherwise it’s better to stay at home. My staff and I have had this goal in mind from the first moment: to build something important as protagonists until the final finish line” said Stefano Vecchi on the eve of the race.
For the first time, Vicenza will really feel like they are away from home, on a very hot pitch: only 100 tickets are reserved in the stands for the Vicenza players. “As a man of sport – underlines Vecchi – I wonder how their guest sector can be closed and how we can play anyway: I repeat, I am a field man and I don’t want to go into these aspects, but…”. But the coach has a lot of confidence in his character. “This team has already found itself having to take to the pitch in a hostile environment and what’s more it was our ground, Menti, and there is nothing worse than having your fans booing you and protesting like they did when I arrived. The team came out of it and managed to give hope back to our fans, we and they together are really strong.”
