Rome, pro-Palestinian students protest von der Leyen

(LaPresse) On the occasion of the meeting at the headquarters of the De Gasperi Foundation, in Rome, between the President of the EU Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, the students of various acronyms, including OSA, Cambiare Rotta and Potere al Popolo, they organized a flash mob of protest. In fact, around 20 of them showed up with their hands raised outside the building, displaying posters underlining the alleged complicity of the president of the European Commission with the war in Gaza. When the caravan of cars escorting von der Leyen arrived at the indicated place, the students tried to prevent its passage by sitting on the ground. They were therefore immediately blocked by the police, who blocked the boys near the adjacent wall to allow all the cars to pass. After the European leader entered the Foundation, the boys were then left free to leave, not before having denounced to the reporters present the repression suffered during their action considered peaceful. A few minutes later, the deputy prime minister and secretary of Forza Italia Antonio Tajani also made his entrance.
