The Serie B playoffs took place at the PalaTennistavolo “Aldo De Santis” in Terni. Six teams divided into two groups with promotion for the top two. And promotion to the women’s A2 was for the trio made up of Claudia Caragea, Elena Rozanova and Ana Brzan, who thus join in the second series the other women’s team made up of Fatimo Bello, Lisa Bressan and Laura Pinna, the child prodigy of Sassari table tennis currently engaged with the national team in a youth open in Spain.
Sassari Table Tennis thus expands its already significant participation in the Serie A championships.
In group Merenda and Ana Brzan’s 3-0 over Libretti. Anna Bozena Prokop won victories over Brzan for her opponents from Brescia and Rozanova for the women from Brescia.
The Sassari team then lost 4-2 against Table Tennis team Casamassima who finished top of the group, also beating Coccaglio.
The Sassari table tennis team, which plays in the women’s C, only came close to promotion to women’s B. Novara won 3-0 over the trio of Maria Elena Musio, Chiara Scudino and Maria Laura Mura.
