After having earned the chance to play the match for the singles title against Iga Swiatek, the Tuscan player also won the doubles semi-final paired with Sara Errani: the two Italians, already winners at the Internazionali d’Italia, beat three set Marta Kostyuk and Elena Gabriele Ruse, with an extraordinary comeback: 1-6 6-4 6-1 the final score.

Italy continues to fly in this record-breaking edition in Paris: the tricolor is also in both doubles finals, since Andrea Vavassori and Simone Bolelli will challenge Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo for the title. Errani can win his sixth Slam title in doubles after the five won together with Roberta Vinci: it would be the second Roland Garros after the one in 2012. For Jasmine, however, it would be a historic first time, in doubles and obviously also in singles: Paolini is experiencing a dream tournament. The semi-final was very tough: Paolini and Errani spent exactly two hours on the pitch. For Jasmine, therefore, a challenging eve before the final against Swiatek, not necessarily bad news: the victory in doubles was the best training and also allowed the Italian to unwind before the challenge of her career. The Italians did well to straighten out a complicated match by winning a very tough second set, in which they had lost the break advantage in the endless fourth game, with the break for their opponents on the tenth occasion. In the third set there was no challenge: Italy continues to fly in this incredible Roland Garros.
