MASSA – Everything is ready for Gaia’s maxi nocturnal intervention on the Massa water network: tomorrow night the operator’s teams will all be deployed on the street with the aim of completing the reconstruction of the hydraulic node in Piazza Garibaldi, contributing to the rehabilitation of the municipal aqueduct and to reduce losses in the area. Gaia therefore reminds you that, starting from 9.00 pm on Tuesday 14 May and until 7.00 am on Wednesday 15 May, and in any case until the end of the works, various areas of the Municipality will remain without water or may suffer inconveniences to allow the construction of strategic works , whose value is also recognized by the allocation of Pnrr funds (Wadis project).
The areas affected by the phenomena of lack of water or low pressure, for a total of approximately 34 thousand users, are those described in the attached map, namely: Romagnano, Poveromo, Partaccia, Ronchi, Marina Di Massa, Codupino, Casone, Sei Ponti, Candia , Foce, San Lorenzo, Industrial Area-Oliveti, Cervara, Canalmagro, Puliche, Massa Centro, Ricortola, Bondano, Massa Industrial Area, Stadium Area, Mirteto, Rinchiostra, Poggi, Quercioli, Poggioletto, Zecca – Viali Area, Castagnara, Santa Lucia , Castagnetola – Frangola – Lavacchio, Castagnola, Turano, Pradaccio. The maneuvers could generate phenomena of low pressure and transient turbidity throughout the entire water network of the municipality of Massa; the turbidity will vanish by letting the water flow for a few minutes.

«Through this new intervention – explains the manager – Gaia will complete the works prepared last February: in Piazza Garibaldi a new section of the network has been created involving pipes of considerable diameter (Dn300, Dn250, Dn200) which is now ready for enter the system permanently, completely replacing the old section. Not only that: at the same time as the intervention in Piazza Garibaldi, taking advantage of the necessary temporary closure of the water, Gaia will also carry out a further important intervention in correspondence with an important artery of the city aqueduct located in Via Palestro, close to the historic center mass. Here too, Gaia will carry out the district division of the network and the installation of the flow control equipment. In view of these operations, patience and collaboration is once again required from all citizens involved: the manager will work to reduce the communicated processing times as much as possible (from 9pm to 7am) and restore the service as soon as possible. Gaia is available for any need or report to institutional contacts even in the hours following the intervention”.
