Ancona. The interregional championships organized by the Marche Regional Committee took place on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May at the Palaprometeo Estra “Liano Rossini” in Ancona. An event that has taken on even greater value given the proximity of some top-level national competitions, such as the National University Championships, scheduled for 18 and 19 May in Campobasso, and the Italian Cup which will be held at the Foro Italico in Rome on 2nd and 3 June.

A calendar that made the Ancona race a sort of high-level dress rehearsal, bringing over 500 athletes from 74 clubs representing 15 regions to the Marche capital.

Also present were two Ligurian clubs, Athletic School Tigullio and Lanterna Taekwondo. For the Chiavari club led by maestro Brizzolara, two gold medals arrive thanks to the performances of Azzurra Sanguineti and Elisa Garibaldi, who was also competing at the university level in Campobasso. Silver for Hanel Orellana and bronze for Riccardo Giacomelli and Andrea Antireno, returning to the tatami after over a year and a half.

Maestro Terrile’s Lanterna also celebrates, with gold medals by Viola Quistelli and Nicole Falco and silver medals by Gabriele Giorgianni and Matteo Casanova and Alice Rubba.

Medals that confirm the excellent state of health of the Ligurian movement, which is continually growing and ready to confirm, at the next national events, its positioning among the elite of Italian taekwondo.
