VENETO – Record-breaking Cavallino Tre Porti: it surpasses Rimini and is the first Italian seaside resort in terms of attendance

Thanks to the presence of campsites and tourist villages, Cavallino Tre Porti is one of the most popular destinations in Europe and the queen of open air. The national attendance ranking places it in 5th place overall behind Rome, Venice, Milan and Florence. Before Rimini which placed 6th. Followed by Bibione, Jesolo and Caorle.

The governor of Veneto, Luca Zaia, was the first to rejoice over the data and wrote:

“The desire for a holiday and high loyalty for a destination translate into tourist presences, thanks to which Horse Treporti, capital of camping and open air tourism in the Northern Adriatic, confirms itself as the first seaside resort in Italy, surpassing the beach of Rimini. But not only that, because this strip of beach, rich in nature, between the sea and the lagoon, climbs the ranking of tourist destinations and ranks fifth nationally behind the big cities and art centers. An important result that rewards the work of a great team: operators, administrators and residents who have been able to build an offer in step with the times and capable of responding to the needs of an advanced tourist attentive to sustainability issues”.

Thus the president of the Veneto Region applauds the success of the Venetian beach Horse Treporti which confirms itself as the first Venetian beach, followed closely by Rimini, Bibione, Jesolo, Caorle and Lignano Sabbiadoro.

“If to the 6.8 million attendance Horse Treporti we add the data of the beaches of Jesolo, Eraclea, Caorle, Bibione we have a Venetian coast with mind-boggling numbers. A 120 km coastline on which blue and green flags fly, which confirm the great attention towards the environment, high quality of water, services and cleanliness of the beaches – continues the Governor -. And it is also thanks to these excellences that Veneto stands out at a national level, confirming itself as the first destination in Italy in terms of number of presences, which in 2023 exceeded the record ones of 2019. And thanks to these 72 million presences we are facing a positive start to the season, aware that to continue to grow we need to deseasonalize, with an offer capable of catalyzing interest even in the upstream and downstream months, as many Venetian destinations are doing, becoming attractive 365 days a year”.
