The fifth City of Carpi Under 14 Tournament organized by Rugby Carpi at the Dorando Pietri field ends up on the Modena Rugby board, where eight teams from Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Marche, Tuscany and also from Campania competed.

In the final, the Modenese team got the better of Formiche Rugby Pesaro, while the Mascalzoni del Canale finished third ahead of the Highlanders Formigine Rugby. Tommaso Fornasiero of Modena Rugby 1965 was voted MVP of the tournament by the captains of the teams present (in addition to the already mentioned also Union Rugby Viterbo, Pontedera Bellaria Rugby and Rugby Benevento and obviously Rugby Carpi).

«Arriving at the fifth edition of the Città di Carpi means giving continuity to the project of the kids of our club and also above all for the city of Carpi – says the president of the Falchi Stefano Bolognesi –. The reason for such pride was counting the presence of players from all over Italy, bringing in teams from as far away as Viterbo or Benevento. They were given the opportunity to get to know our city one day before the tournament, thanks to the welcome of our children and companions. Sportingly speaking, the tournament reached a medium-high level of teams. I want to give a special thank you to all the mothers of the club who were present to collaborate in our party despite it being Sunday and to our volunteers, a fundamental part in making a wonderful event possible.”
