Modena, 13 May 2024 – The Carpi political scenario is enriched: in fact, a fourth candidate for mayor appears. AND’ Davide Verri with the party Strength of the People. Verri, 62 years old, administrative employee in a company Reggioloclose to retirement, well known in sports circles as president of Hornbeam handballgave his availability to lead the local section of the party: the list of candidates (mostly women) has been filed with the Municipality and checks are underway. “We are there novelty of these elections. We are not neither right nor left. And not even civic because we belong to a national formation anti-Euro“. Verri says he speaks for the good of the people. “We represent the ‘front of dissent'”. Verri, therefore, will challenge three other candidates. Annalisa Arlettisupported by the centre-right coalition (Fratelli d’Italia, Lega and Forza Italia) and ‘Carpi protagonist for Arletti mayor’, defines itself as “the real alternative for a new history”. Monica Medici is supported by Carpifutura and Movimento civico per Carpi; the symbol was confirmed yesterday, after some problems raised by the M5S due to the strong analogy with theirs. “We want to ‘rewrite time’ to escape the current decline” says Medici. Riccardo Righi is supported by coalition of the center left composed of: Pd, AVS, Carpi 2.0 (which includes the DC), Carpi Comune, Carpi a Colori, Bella Carpi and Uniti per Carpi (composed of Italia Viva, +Europa Carpi and Laboratorio Carpi). “I believe in politics among the people, close to the people” said Righi. Among the supporters also Actionthe party of Calendarwhich in Carpi has the face of Simone Morelli who however, another twist, is not among the names on the list, “so as not to overshadow and take away votes from the other Action candidates. I’m not on the list, but I put my face on it”.
