ANCONA – Around 3pm this night the police intervened near via Mamiani following a report that a person was shouting along the road while damaging parked cars.
Once the police arrived on site, they identified the subject, a man of Peruvian origins, approximately 23 years old. At the sight of the steering wheel, the young man quickened his pace and then turned into a side street in order to evade the control. Stopped immediately, the man appeared altered, with winey breath, dilated pupils and a staggering gait. During the check, the 23-year-old also appeared without any identification document and, from the checks carried out, the police discovered that his residence permit had expired months ago.
The applicants reported being woken up in their homes by shouting of the subject on the street e they had seen him punch parked cars and open the door of a van without removing anythinglla. They also reported that the subject had insistently knocked on the doorbells of the houses and after seeing the police car arriving he had tried to escape.
The man taken to the offices in via Gervasoni was invited to regularize his position on the national territory and was subsequently referred for the crimes of drunkenness and for the crime relating to illegal residence in the territory of the State. But in the next few hours the Police Commissioner will also evaluate the issuance of a preventive measure against him.
