Antonio Mirenghi starts again from Juventus Caserta. The Juventus club, which could aim to return to Serie B next season through a merger as required by the new federal regulations, announced the news in a press release.
«Within the framework of the corporate restructuring project already announced, the president Francesco Farinaro has defined a collaborative relationship with Antonio Mirenghi, who will occupy the role of general manager of the company. Always in the world of basketball as manager of various Neapolitan basketball clubs, Antonio Mirenghi held the role of general manager in Gevi Basket Napoli from 2018 to 2021. Starting from Serie B, in a newborn club, in just three years he achieved promotion to Serie A1, winning the Italian Cup and the League 2 Championship, bringing Napoli back to Serie A after an absence of fourteen years.”
«One meeting was enough – underlines the president Francesco Farinaro – to find total agreement on the club’s future projects and realize Antonio’s willingness to embrace the Juvecaserta 2021 project. We discussed the season that has just ended, but above all what the future intentions of the ownership and sponsors are. With Antonio Mirenghi we are laying the first piece of that corporate structure we thought of to try to achieve the objectives we have set ourselves in the wake of the history and glorious tradition of Caserta basketball.”
«I am really happy – declares the new general manager – to be able to start this new adventure in an important place like Caserta. From the first meeting with the president, I was struck by his enthusiasm and passion. I am convinced that, with the support of a warm and passionate place, such as the Caserta one, we could really do well. We are already working to plan next season.”
